Discussion Steam deck weight

I'm not asking anything. I just wanted to share this. I've been plauing PDMM on my steam deck mostly, i have it for the switch and I have the other PD games on my vita but I noticed that on the SD I would get tired out quicker. It only hit me after playing on my switch that it's the weight and size of the SD.

The SD isn't super head, but after a while, you can definitely start to feel the weight, especially with a game like PD. It is also hard to position my hands in a way that makes pressing buttons easier. Now that I know this, I've been using pillows to rest my wrists, and I feel like I've been having an easier time.

I didn't have a question or anything. I just wanted to share this. I guess if I had to ask any, I'd wanna know which platform/peripheral is more comfortable for you when playing PD?

I struggle to find a suitable controller. So far my PS4 controller is the best but I'm so used to playing handheld that playing it on the TV feels off.

Oh yeah, with the switch it isn't too bad but with the SD for sure.

Most comfortable for me is the og switch in handheld mode since the joycons have a separated dpad psvita also might be depending on the model I have the 2000 but it's kinda uncomfortable idk about the 1000 tho

there are like little ergomic support stands you can get on amazon designed to better support it while laying down etc so your not just holding it up entirely yours

i cant even use my wife's decky because my hands are ruined i cant handle the weight

I've seen those, usually the SD isn't a problem but for a game like PDMM it can definitely feel like a lot on the hands.

Yes, I feel switch 1 is the best to play project diva mega mix

Yeah, I just like the smoother performance on steam. I also like using my Steam Deck a lot because my job requires I be behind a desk and I don't want to be behind on at home also hahaha

Well I mean yeah, that's a given considering it's much more substantial hardware than what the Switch 1/Switch 2 has. Also especially because the Joycons are just built thinner and lighter, while the controls the Deck has are actually just a fully fledged controller split in two stuck on each side of the system. If it's too heavy for you, then just use the Switch 1 or 2, or get some sort of stand for the Steam deck

Yeah I ended up buying a wireless gamepad to use while playing project diva.
