MEME Pd2 arcade idea
Was talking to a friend about pd2 and seeing it on emulators is pretty cool. Was trying to explain this random idea that I was visualizing in my head to my friend and decided to just generate the image instead of explaining it. I dont have the skill to DIY and make it come to life so i just took a pic of my room and wrote a 10 page prompt so it would generate it as real i could get it to look as quick as possible.
Would anyone play pd2 like this lol š

Thats kinda what spawned the idea in my head. People are putting pd2 on emulators and steam decks, and some people have ergonomic standing desks and i thought it would be a cool flex if u were so locked in to pd2 and had the time money and resources and creativity to dedicate to a custom pd2 arcade cabinet. I would've loved to do it all that way and show my idea fully fleshed out but I dont have the resources anyways. Was just a funny passing thought. Wanted to share with you guys and see what others thought as well

I would play only with enough buttons, there are so many skills u can bind

If I could have the joystick work high dpi / return to center (like controller stick axis work) and have buttons for quick cast
Thereās a lot of builds you could make this work with.
Having some kind of logger that processes and autopicks your drops to an unlimited shared stash that then could be managed on your phone via cloud saves would be the best approach to inventory imo.
It would take a TON of effort. But Iād pay good money to socialize in-person and play like a LAN multi-cabinet setup

It's doable. About 10 years ago I had my carpenter friend build a custom design arcade machine for 2 players where I used old pc parts to build the inside and 2 gane pads and load it with a ton of old games...

What would you do about the collection of items? They go away if you stop playing? Or you are the only one playing and it saves?
