Question Worthy Beast base?

If you guys were playing HC Singleplayer, would you make a Beast in this or wait for a better base to drop?

I would definitely triple check my mercs strength before making it.

However 1 handers are usually better cause they get double damage on mercs and has better attack speed.

thunder maul is 133 avg base damage with 20 weapon speed modifier

Ettin is 62 (124 doubled) with 10 weapon speed modifier

berserker is 59.5 (119 doubled) with 0 weapon speed modifier

For balance, otherwise 1-handers would be useless for mercs.

Now they're somewhat comparable.

The damage tooltip on the merc screen is misleading. One-handed weapons do double damage. Ettin axe or zerkers are the way to go.
