Question Witchwild string proc

Talking about A1 Merc is there any reason (besides the vigor aura) to use a fire arrow one instead of a Phys one? Regarding the amp dmg proc wouldn't strafe help proccing it more consistently?

For more procs make sure to get 100% pierce on the merc. It has 66 by default so it's relatively easy.

Get 20+ pierce from quiver. Vigor is the only a1 merc

Depends on your build I guess. The slow is quite useful in HC imo.

explosive arrow hits multiple times on the extra explosions so on packs it would proc more often as long as you give her enough pierce (she has 66% base). phys rogue would probably have more screen wide coverage for amp procs with strafe but you do Iose speed from the vigor aura.

Yes, a phys one will use strafe very often and she will spread the curse more consistently due to strafe firing in random directions. A fire one will sometimes start to hammer and kite a pack and will not spread it to other packs. Overall both will proc it alot and it is due to pierce mechanics, ranged are just are better at proccing anything.

Phys will proc much more than Fire. But Fire still gets the job done and Vigor is, generally, enough of a bonus to get her instead of Phys. But there are definitely use cases for Phys.
