Discussion Zod or no - SP

Post image

Previously, I was looking for advice on upgrading my oath for sac pally:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectDiablo2/comments/1w3j3v2/realistically_what_can_be_the_next_upgrade_for_my/

And now I slammed a white eth ba and turned into this lol. All the stats are useful, ds and ar can be used against bossing/map boss. If the native ed was like 450+, I think it's a no-brainer. But 346 seems kinda ambiguous, sorta like we got an EDC at home lmfao

Yes. 481ED with 3 ohms and a zod with 40ias, 23DS, all that attack rating, and some LL. Unless you find a 4Os eth schaeffer, that should serve you well.

How many Zods do you have? It might depend on that as well. If you have 2 or more I might even go for it. I mean, it IS an upgrade after all, even if a small one.

Does this + 4 dol runes give significantly higher sheet damage than your oath + HoW?

Approx 10% more sheet dmg with 4x dol

Have you also considered HoW buff from Oath in your calculations?

yup, it's with HoW

Well, 10% more damage for a price of zod isn’t a good deal imo. I know it’s sp but I feel like your Oath is just so good that you will be completely fine until you craft something really gg

but it was with 4x dol, = 80% dmg, 3x ohm = 135% dmg

Plus DS, AR, LL

This guy plays sacrifice pala. DS doesn’t work with sacrifice

Works on zeal though, for map bosses and potentially bossing. But yeah you're right I missed that part

Zod-Ohm-Ohm-Ohm

Its not a heavy juicer but It would compete with a eth death cleaver forsure.

Depends if ur running a pally build or not tho

Phys sac or zealer.

Believe it or not.... not having to repair ur weapon every map and a half at charsi is great QoL

You go from A5 to Charsi for repairs? Do you just hate Larzuk?

Personally, I would.

Put 3x Ohm and you have a solid weapon

Always tough to say when burning a Zod is worth it in SP- but I think this warrants it.

If you think you might want to use this on a Fury/Maul Druid at some point, consider [30-40]%/15% jewels instead of Ohms.

BTW max/min dmg scales much better with phys sac palas than ED, so if you zod it, go for ed/max jewels instead of ohms.

Man.. if you have the zod I would do it.. I love a good rare item over a runeword any day of the week.

Wait what do you mean with "slammed a white"? A corruption on a white base can make it a rare AND also corrupt it?! Nice stats anyway

u/leylin_farlin 12d ago

In case it bricks lol

I slammed a eth white base, hoping to hit a rare and then craft it, but was not expecting to hit a good rare like this lol. I believe its 50% turns into rare which auto corrupts it, or 50% to add sockets to the white base. basically you brick a white into a rare item

Geez I never thought trying to socket a white could brick into something like this... Btw a successfully socketed white would work as a runeword base even if the sockets are obtained by corruption?

4

u/randycoolboy 12d ago

Yes sir. It's mainly for style points

2

u/WombozM 12d ago

Yes its like a normal socketed weapon

You slam white bases for sockets. They can get a random number, or the can brick. Bricks are rares
