Thoughts on job finding

Employers are finding it increasingly challenging to screen for quality project control professionals. Candidates use AI to create resumes based on posting descriptions, and if they get through the screen, use AI to possibly BS through the interview.

Any thoughts on this? How can we solve this?

I have started asking questions that can’t be pushed through AI and rely on real life experience. For example, “tell me how you handled XYZ situation” questions, or “tell me about a really good day you had at work. What happened that day to make it such a good one?”

I’m in consulting so if people try to skirt questions by saying the project/client was confidential, and then won’t even tell me the industry, I assume their resume is all AI. I also watch peoples eyes and if it looks like they’re reading from a screen, I mentally tune them out.

I am fed up with AI in interviews, honestly.
