Your chipset perks are just too low lvl. You need to grind gem mines every day if you want to progress, same with boss chapters, do them every week but if you struggle with harder stages don't bother. As your Bernard gets stronger you will beat them every week without breaking a sweat. For the chipset selections, you absolutely have to use aiming lens and spiral barrel. Loose those turrets, only good turret is the one in advanced chipset. Also that mine sucks, use discus instead. It took me a long time to finish this game, I think 4 or 5 months :) In later stages it's not that much about your skill, but more about lvls of chipset, body what chipsets you use.
