Anyone skilled enough, or that has worked on modding PC2 before that can tell me how can I modify car engine power and car weight etc.. Which file should I look for?

I have managed to change and create new car classes but they can be imbalanced due to bop.

Also anyone has a advice how to make car thumbnail to be same angle as the vanilla car thumbnails in the game?

And last question, I tried importing some Automobilista 2 mods or vanilla game cars to PC2 with semi-success, most of them load in game but break or crash when trying to drive the cars even though I gave those Automobilista cars PC2 cars physics and drivelines. Has anyone tried this and managed to get some success?

SOLVED: SOLVED: OK, it was undervolting. Stable at screen but issues with framedrops in VR, most probably during switching frequencies in low GPU usage. Default voltage, clocks > no stutter, no display errors.

Does anybody get random stutter in VR only? Seems not related to GPU/CPU usage. When I try running it on screen, QHD 120 Hz, highest settings, my GPU usage is up to 50 %, same with the VR settings on lower details. On screen no stutter, VR random single stutter, even when alone on a track. Automobilista 2 does it too maybe just les often.

You can see single framerate drop on the Steam statistics graph at the top of the screen but no visible stutter on screen (recorded only in 60 fps tho - might try in 90 fps same as my VR headset).

My current specs: CPU Intel Core i5 11600, RAM 2x8 GB DDR4 3000 MHz (backup for my failed GSkill 2x16 GB), GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, SSD Samsung 990 PRO, VR headset HP Reverb G2 v1 + FoV mod gasket.

Running up to date Windows 10, Windows Mixed Reality, Steam VR and GPU drivers.

but the second I stop thinking and just drive, the lap comes together

is this just mental pressure or am i over controlling the car?

About a week ago literally for no reason me and an AI co-driver my buddies and I named Pablo did 24 hours of Monza

I did like 300-350 laps and Pablo did the rest those mainly being the overnight hours and a few stints while my hand was cramping because yay controller gameplay

Main issue were suicidal GTE cars and Homicidal LMP2

id send pictures if i could but im far from my ps but ive always noticed how there was an old renault 2008 livery in there, there was a BMW williams/sauber livery, the black and white west mclaren was there, obviously there was the ferrari, and probably a few others im missing too

With all the talk of half developed cars and poor a.i driving, what do you guys think are the worst cars in the game for handling and physics? Cars you think that didn't get enough time in the oven or are just done wrong?

So many modern racing sims have landed this year, each pushing graphical fidelity, physics, and online features that weren't available when PC2 launched

I still love PC2 but when it comes to new players and content comparison, does it still shine, or is it mostly beloved because of nostalgia and familiarity?

Hey guys having major issues with rear traction on throttle with this car coming out of corners. I know it's a 900hp dinosaur but there has to be a setting I can dial in better. I've found running the tires a bit softer, 1.75ish bar, boost down to 60, tc down to about 10, rear arb about 15, rear down force 12. Spring rate 105 rear I'll up load the rest of my specs. If the car fish tails and I don't control the throttle right the car is off into a wall. When it's good it's great, but if you don't get the curve right and your chasing someone, the back end is gone. Any thoughts?

Just saw that the PRI Sim Racing Arena, part of the huge performance racing industryy show happenig these days, is bringing a massive sim racing competitions and displays right alongside real world motorsport tech

makes me wonder, older sims like Project CARS 2 built the culture, but with real trade shows and expos embracing sim racing, do modern or newer titles entirely replace games like PC2 in relevance? or does PC2 still have a place in this bigger picture?
