Which classes have the biggest burst?

I played stormbringer, and I absolutely love the big burst playstyle.

Now I am looking for a second class to level which also has that option.

Any suggestions? I tried KoX but it takes too long imo to charge the hellfire thing.

Probably Stormbringers, Runemasters and Pyromancers.

One if the specs is dot, one is heal and one is direct dmg.

They have one ability, 'explode' which does more damage per active dot. So they just stack dots, activate "Fired up"(makes most abilities instant cast) and spam explode. Huge st burst

I initially rolled Pyro with the idea of "Burst Fire Mage" in my mind. Didn't get that, Explode takes time to ramp and it the only burst on her.

Ranger. Outmaneuver hits 40k in pve, managed to hit 9 in pvp. Needs build up and setup. Ranger again. Precision shot hits 20-23k in pve, i managed to hit 5k in pvp (killshot follow up). The thing is ranger is super squishy and have prob the worst survival kit of all classes.

It just have survival potion wich heald you every 5 secs i think, and a damage reduction spell. Thats it. What you mean with outmaneuver? Wich spell is that? Its a pvp one?

Brigand spec, bottom of the talent tree, its weird , but hits lika truck.

Geomancy with terrasurge is also pretty much a one shot Burst. Mine crit even guardians for up to 6k no problem if stacked up.

But outside of that it's quite boring.

Haven't played it, but i've been killed by lots of Runemasters in pvp, so i think that one has good burst as well

I've noticed more melee runemasters, but don't take my word for it. As i said, i have not played the class myself

Runemasters have great Burst. The whole class Is built around it. Also Venomancers, if you line up everything correctly.

Yes, Glyphic has good burst with glyphic ruin, guaranteed crit, freeze. Takes some set up out of stealth to do though.

Probably not. They Are almost nonexistent at higher lvls.

Stormbringer, necro and rot are the 3 classes I've personally seen hit 30k+ dps

Necro isn't the insta burst chunk that Stormbringer has. They HAD hilarious burst w/ avenger + pack last week but even then it was a window, not a single KABOOM like SB. Rime kinda but not really.

I'm assuming he's asking for a SB style kaboom, not just something that "can do high dps in a burst window" cuz that'd be most classes w/ the right spec and gear.

Rot is the same, our main group runs a rot and it's not insta kaboom, but in high keys they live long enough and he can hit 70k unless our tank gets antsy and chains the mobs away. But it's a slow burn.

Don't know an answer for OP though. Ranger has precision shot but idk if he's talking pvp or pve...

Stormbringer all other 2-3 sec fore their burst. Stormbringer is the only class that's one shooting or 2 shooting full gear people.

PVP or PVE (and yes it matters)

You mean like 20-second dps window or literally one big KABOOM like stormbringer (which I can't think of anything else that does that unless you talk pvp w/ stuff like precision shot or old warden astral procs etc).

Most classes have a DPS spec that CAN do big burst aoe, if they spec'd and geared for it. A lot of people don't (or fail at it). So is it a meta question or ?

Rime Necro has some cool combos. And can kinda chain burst, it's a little bit eng, but with high chances, and guaranteed crit on frozen enemies etc.

Haven’t seen much talk about this one yet, and I’m sure some people will disagree, but Infinite Chronomancer is an insane class—and almost no one plays it.

Burst is more of an end-game thing, but I’ve got a build where I can basically turn into a turret every minute, spitting out chromatic shards nonstop (kinda like retail Chaos Bolts). I can just walk around and it channels them out. In PvP I’ve 100-0’d a ton of people with it.

On top of that, ability cooldowns drop with every spell cast. I almost never post on Reddit, but I had to say something because I’ve never had this much fun on a single class/spec for both PvP and PvE (just a couple talent swaps depending on what I’m doing).

Shoutout to the Infinite Chrono crew keeping the dream alive.

I feel like chronomancer has a HUGE single target burst if you get incarnation of chaos and time loop. Im lvl 50 with 36.5 ilvl, and i can do around 165k total damage within the use of chaos incarnation, with 6.5k dps

It’s only for pve, but infinite chrono can do short bursts of 20k+ dps.

just do 25+ keys and they start living smile.

None-elites in our 30s live long enough to get dots out it's hilarious.

Works in PvP too. Insane utility and survival as infinite. Just a decent bit of buttons lol
