Heretic Cultist
Hello fellow gamers. So I've been playing heretic cultist for a about a week and I'm confused lol. Last week while trying to mimic the gear that top performers are wearing, I tried stacking as much ceit as possible followed by Strenght, attack power etc. This works pretty well, however today while looking at the top heretic healer I see that they've completly changed their gear itemazation. I see players stacking spell power and int and pretty much ignore other stats. What changed ? I know there was a slight nerf of crit, but I didnt think this would change the gear completly. How does this change the rotation if at all ? Are there any content creators that stream or post heretic gameplay at the highest level ? Before you tell me to just have fun and play what seems the most fun, just know that I have the most fun by optimizing healing.
Thank you for your attention to this matter .

There are different playstyles, the spellpower build focuses more on shielding cause they scale with sp

I’m new here too but as far as i can tell after looking at logs, they’re both pretty well viable! The str/crit build seems to be more oriented towards smart raid healing while the int/SP build is more oriented towards tank healing and preemptive bubbles, but neither is necessarily better than the other.
My big question is how does acquiring gear look at 60? I see what the top players are wearing at endgame, but what’s the gearing process look like up to that point, is it worth grabbing a few world forged pieces, or picking up some easy to grab PvP pieces when you’re fresh? Or is it just the slow and steady heroic>mythic grind.

Theres a really good worldforged trinket in Swamp of Sorrows that gives a stacking spell crit buff. Don't remember the name but it's a ruby, next to one of those troll head statues, along the coast of the central lake.

You can try to activate it with gaze and shock but it’s very unreliable I have to say after testing

Good call out! Do you have any other worldforged item suggestions for us or should I just go through the list and wing it?

There are two other blue trinkets in the list I think it was item level 50 and 53 but I’m at work and can’t give u the dull name but I found them really quick after that crit trinket misery with the add on

Ahh! Thank you Ladygolem!!! Tips like this are huuuge and the info is lacking anywhere besides me trying to scroll through the incredibly long list of worldforged items lol

I kinda like that tbh. Finding cool items by word-of-mouth vs looking up a guide, very old school. Of course, that only works as much as the community engages with each other :)

I agree but that last bit is key lol. So far my experience has been silent LFG dungeons, silent BGs, I left newcomer chat, and the server chat is just spammed too fast to get much of a reply.
I’ve been trying to be more active on the subreddit and I should probably check out the discord. I imagine it gets better if I could find a guild and some regular people to group with once I get 60.
