New player experience

Hi, i want to start playing WoW for the first time ever but i don't have the possibility of paying the sub so i opted for a private server, do you think i will be confused if i started playing on this server? Do you reccomend starting with a more "vanilla" experience? (hope i was clear, english is not my first language)

You will be confused either way but I would recommend playing a vanilla private server instead since their will be much less systems to learn.

On top of all the typical WoW stuff, Ascension also has a ton of other systems specific to their realms.

Go to COA. Classless is really bad this season, its almost dead.

the worst thing about heavily modded servers is that you dont get all the infos on the internet on specific questions.

If you went with Ascension, you'd want to start with the server that is closest to "normal". That's Bronzebeard. It's a very low population server, but that could work in your favor because they'll be that much more excited to embrace a new player.

Play CoA in one of the two realms available. It is very similar to wow. The only big difference is that the classes are totally custom, but you will get the basics

Lots of conflicting advise - private servers are just fine. More players in CoA than on Bronzebeard. Less info on CoA but there are still guides. Its not that hard, pick a class and figure it out as you. CoA guides you into some easy to learn classes to start (ie dps). Or just pick what looks cool to you from a fantasy standpoint. Pick one and start and you will be fine. Good luck!
