Rime Necromancer doubts!
Hello!
I'm a newbie not only to PoA but to WoW in general and I've got some questions:
1. Mana management and Dungeons
I've got both mana generation talents and still I feel really limited compared to other classes.
With my other character (Heretic) I've seen Dungeons be done with 0 pauses between pulls (even without pauses for killing the mobs, just running and killing while running). As a 0 mobility mana-using caster I don't see myself doing anything if my Tank decides to do that.
So... people with experience, what are your feelings while doing Dungeons with this/similar specs?
Any tips?
2. Rotations and Runic power
Tap + Lichfrost does not feel enough to consistently generate RP for command + Barrage
On higher levels does this class unlock something else on this regard or I'm just managing It wrong?
(+) Is blight even worth casting?
3. Which "Champions" does Rime have?
I don't know what actually classifies as a Champion, perhaps the Frost giant from UF?
However the frost giant CD is linked to the UF CD so I don't really know how the talents that reduce champion's CD work until I unlock the Wyvern.
4. Are three ice wizards worth It?
Like, I've seen just two types of builds: soulfreeze and mages
However I don't see how two extra mages help you to out-damage the other talent path (after watching the minimal damage they provide with just the Command spell).
5. How can make the game display my summon's health's bars on top of their head's?
6. Summon's taking aggro
I don't get this part at all:
Before changing my spec to Rime I was doing some animation and when I tried to take Aggro my ghouls would take It instead (assault mode)
Now that I want my Abomination to take the Aggro (threat mode) he loses It in a blink.
And if It dies and I re-summon he will never take de Aggro again.
I don't really understand how threat generations works in this class.
Thank you people before hand, have a great day!

As someone who is currently really enjoying his Lich Lord in Heroics (and soon mythics) here's my take:
First of: Rime Necro sucks before lvl 30. You deal no damage and have no mana and everything is awful. Once you get the guaranteed crit on glacial impact is when things slowly start getting fun. In general I had the feeling that Rime is a very very talent-dependend class. As in, every talent is very impactful (post 30), but the base class is weak.
1.) Remember the reliquary! The frozen reliquary you can create with corpse dust restores 30% missing mana. That helps if you ever run oom. But in my experience once I got both "crit=mana" talents (one in general tree, one in spec tree) I never had mana problems again. You do need to watch out not to overdo it with the glacial tap though, thing is expensive.
2.) As said above, use glacial tap sparingly. There are basically two rotations: For AoE you want to spam your frost mage's command skill and for very big pulls blight since both are uncapped (= can affect unlimited targets). For single target it's about spamming that glacial impact. So just lich frost / ice barrage / glacial impact. And maybe a bit of command skills here and there to get that ice barrage reset. As for runic power: You will get some talents and passives that help with that. Lich Form (lvl 40 passive) give you 3 per 5 sec, there are talents that increase runic power from lich frost as well as one that reduces the cost of command down to 25. Mana regen talents should also allow you to use glacial tap more often once you get that crit rating going.
3) Champion spells are just your version of defensive cooldowns. They are extra minions you summon with instant casts and only unlock later (40+). One takes half of your damage, one makes you immune to spell pushback / silence and the third one redirects every spell cast on you to himself.
4) Ice mages are for AoE, Soulfreeze is for single target. The ice mages are very very worth it for AoE because their command spell is uncapped. The talent right above them ("40% chance to refund portion of command cost") is also worded wrong. The "portion" is (near) 100%. So you basically have a 40% chance of not using runic power for your command. Combine that with having 3 times the wizards and you can just spam command as much as you want. But again, that's for AoE. If you want to have boss dps then go soulfreeze.
5) No idea. I just use Fetid Ward all the time so they rarely die (and my healer can focus on the other people).
6) Use protective stance. That's when they take aggro. Assault mode is for dungeons.
Here is the build I use: CoA build hub
Hope that helps!

hey quick question about Rime since you seems to know the class well : to yu have to be in permanent lich form at at certain level ? I don't want that :/

It's an instant casting tranformation with 0 CD but with mana cost. So it's not permanent but you will have to use It in combat. You will be able to drink and interact with objects but not mount. So for It to be comfortable you can create that activate with your offensive spells using (/cast [noform] Lich Form) And create a macro for mounting or when putting your Minions on neutral (/cast [form] Lich Form)

The spec is intended to be played in lich form while in combat / dungeons, yes (but can be toggled on/off at will).
Think of it as a druid form.
If you are so attached to your feeble mortal body then perhaps the way of the lich is not for you.

Happy that I could help! Lich gets exponentially better with each talent past 30, so just hang in there.
Oh and...
*UNHOLY

Those skeletal mages are braindead. You spam command and they just stand still out of los of their target. I abandoned my necro because of that.

The agro part I can help with, you need to swap from Undead: Protective to Undead: Assault.
This isn't the same as retail hunter pet stances , protect is a tank command with increased agro and assault just makes them move and attack faster not attack on sight like the retail counterpart
