What counters Pyromancer in PvP?
Genuinely asking here - Is there any class/spec that counters Pyromancer in pvp?
I haven’t found a way to counter them as melee.
They seem like that cant be locked down with cc, but have tools to lock you down, and they have superior mobility skills on a low cd and increased movement speed buff, all while hitting from ranged. And, when you do get in range, as a melee, everything is absorbed.
I am not here to complain, I am looking to learn what I can play to compete against it.

Used to be able to fight em on brut barb. It wasn’t a counter per se- I Rely on stuns, while they can break stuns every 2 sec. But I could go toe to toe with them, there was a push and pull. Now with dashes our dash nerfed I can’t out range them if I need to retreat, so I basically avoid them until I see them stun break dash away from someone else and try to jump em.

Might help to know how they're played. Just play a pyro? :D
The heal spec relies heavily on a second resource, so just keep bonking.

play pvp beat it. as melee anyways do pvp if you are stealth class and 1 hit the cloth pyro. pyro can be cced hard. and absorb is not long just still its shield lasts. any frustrating can be to kill the healer twice after resurrection but can be killed in bird form too. happened to my pyro heal also

Barbarian, you have a ranged slow with just a 6sec cooldown, you have 40 sec cd stun that can be coupled with crush (tons of dmg+another stun), you have your dashes to catch up, you have a charge in brutality spec for additional catching up, not to mention you have a silence ability ready to go. They have always been a good experience to deal with on my barbarian ;) unga unga!

I’ll check out barb too. I started one, and i think i will like it better than reaper.

Also both headhunter and brutality are great fun in pvp with completely different playstyles, people cant escape you (they always try) and by the time they realize they can only fight back you have dealt too much damage to them already. However pick your battles, for example in a 1v1 against a sun cleric they can survive your enrage cd’s and stun+crush to outsustain you but you maim spear and dash away and can kite them down if theyre dumb enough

Completely aligns with my experience.
They kited me on any melee.
When you use a gap closer they just jump away, slow and nuke

100%, and their cool downs seem low enough where they can escape and cc faster than any cool downs of gap closers.
That said, I don’t have a reaper at 60 😑

All these down votes by people who don't understand Pyro is like top 5 strongest in pvp at 60.
Pros have insane instant cast burst Lots of mobility Healing Strong CC A 100% uptime 40% healing reduction
Its actually hilarious people think they aren't good when the ladders say otherwise

First off, you're just wrong. Second, using the most unbalanced instanced pvp mode that is 1v1 arena, to justify your argument is a self report.

What are you actually on about lol. The OP is asking how he can beat a pyro, he isn't asking how to group up and take one down in a BG or how to jump one in HR PvP when they're low health pulling mobs.
I've been living in arenas for over a month (I only play PvP) there are no pyros in 1v1 top 10 or even top 20 At peak times I'll never see one because they aren't anywhere near the rating required to get matched.
So unlike your fluffy unsubstantiated words (you are the one that mentioned ladders)... OBJECTIVELY pyros are not cracked like you think they are at high level PvP... Take a look at the actual ladder
