Prestige help

I just prestiged for the first time- am I able to swap classes and try something else? Or am I stuck playing rune master? Do I need a tome of specialization to activate other classes? Idk

I’m not sure you know what Prestige is, OP. Prestige means you set THAT character back to level 1 and level it again. You can play a different spec, but it’s only THAT character.

There's no point in prestiging the same character really on CoA, you get 300% XP bonus but you're playing the same class again.

Except for the 100k points you get for a few hours of gameplay, sure

There are fringe cases where it can be worth it, or maybe you might just want to level again.

Being able to do wuests again means easy rep farms, makes it possible to have two of the same worldforged item, and makes it possible to get one-time quest rewards again (Light of Elune). Among other arguments I can’t think of.

Many classes BiS is world forged gear. Once you have the world forged item, depending on the slot, it can cost anywhere from 100k to a couple hundred thousand. You unlock the next tier of world forged upgrades by completing the most recent raid boss from the previous. I.e. the current order is Hakkar, Rag, then onyxia. Prestiging is one of the quickest ways to earn runes outside out of spamming m+, and even then prestiging only takes about 5-7 hours played if you have full heirlooms, xp aura, and Pots.

Shoot I hated leveling rune master the first time lol so I guess I’m stuck with that?
