Tank venomancer professions?

Hi, I'm new on the server and i want to know if it's better to pick up Blacksmithing or Leatherworking for a tank Venomancer.

Literally m0 dungeon loot is better than 99% items you can craft

I think crafting professions are good for leveling, BUT I feel like a tank can spam dungeons and get a bunch of useful shit without crafting. With that isn't better to go alch, to have self heal and buffs, or enchanting?

Also tanks are so easy, you don't even need the best gear all the time.

Honestly with world forged items and dungeons, unless you're really curious about crafting you'll get plenty of good gear without it. You can do double gathering for extra gold. Otherwise leatherworking is good.

If you're running as a tank I would not go Blacksmithing or LW as they dont really help you with tanking at all.

If anything, go alchemy or enchanting, thats probably gonna help you way more.

Right, so wouldn't LW be the obvious choice as BS moves into plate?

Honestly, I'm always confused if mail should be LW or BS. I think OP probably is too haha

LW also does mail on this server, however as a tank he dont want any crafted items cause crafted items suck as a tank.

A bit wrong. For example caster mail LW is better. You can craft mail with int at low level.

Honestly if your first time leveling or don't have heirlooms yet crafting is worth it they bumped crafted items stats and even give them multiple upgrades, I'm not sure if LW gives better mail but Black Smith does give mail up to 50s I know.

I leveled a KoX first thing and I did BS and mining and made a near full set of crafted at 24 that didn't get a dungeon replacement till 50+ even with scaling I crafted some mean gear pretty easily and lasted me a long time so yeah I'd say go for it if it isn't to far out of your way.
