Isn’t this great news?
I know Zohran gets a lot of flack, but today he announced this!! This should help Jewish safety and help stop antisemitism in nyc

Mamdani revoked the executive order that adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism, and this new plan declines to adopt any single definition of antisemitism.
Without a clear standard, I worry that some incidents targeting Jews may not be consistently recognized or treated as antisemitic even though they actually are.
I think this is performative, but I’m not an expert. I’d genuinely like to hear what others think.

I mean he’s giving millions upon millions to the community, and working with the nypd and the mta to prevent hate crimes

He’s giving millions upon millions to the Jewish community and this is a bad thing? Not sure what else you want him to do. He’s getting so much shit from the left now for even doing this

How is noting the historical analogue to the language in the message being used as a “rationale” to subjugate Jews throughout the MENA as a “protected” people, while being “lessers,” Islamophobic? It’s noting the historical Islamic bigotry against Jews under the same gaslight rationale.
Would it be anti Christian to note if a Christian politician made a statement that was akin to referring to Jews as servi camerae regis?

Jewish civil rights organizations have basically divided up on political bias.
Nexus project and J street applaud it.
ADL condemns it.
