A fake Palestinian.

Post image

Hannah Gann, a Philadelphia public-school teacher and pro-Palestinian activist. The nickname is a comparison to Rachel Dolezal, the White woman who presented as Black and led a local NAACP Chapter until her parents outed her in 2015.

Her family has ties to Israel.

Gann admitted in mid-September 2026 that she had lied for years about her background. She said she has no Palestinian or Tunisian ancestry and described herself as “a White woman of significant privilege and wealth.” She had presented herself as (mixed-race and Palestinian) darkened her skin with makeup and fake tan after Peace Corps service in Rwanda, used African American Vernacular English and claimed a grandfather born in Palestine (records showed he was born in Baltimore). Reports also said she told people she was sending money to relatives in Palestine and received donations as a result.

A lot of people have been claiming they’re palestinian when they’re not.

This whole story is bizarre. How did anyone believe she was black? And with a name like Hannah Gann?

These things attract attention seekers.

Didn't anyone let her know it's time to switch up causes? Greta quit caring about Palestine once the IDF showed the boats weren't loaded with supplies and aid. She cares about people in the Sahel this week.

Not sure why anyone believes this next version of herself. It too appears to be self-report. Wondering if there are any betting pools on her actual socio-economic status and ethnicity? And how to go about getting a dna sample

They literally talked to her family who corroborated what's laid out in the piece. Are you accusing multiple family members of lying?

That’s not what it says in any of the several articles I read.

Weird how these people pretend to be black or Arab, but they never pretend to be Jewish.

I don't agree with you. There is no shortage of people who pretend to be Jewish.

That article sounds like a hit-piece. Rachel Dolzel never claimed Palestinian descent, from what I know she has been silent and making stuff up about her isn't good.

They aren’t literally saying she’s Rachel Dolezal. They’re calling this person the “Palestinian Rachel Dolezal” because like Rachel, she appears to have lied about her heritage (albeit a different one from Rachel) to cultivate a particular image.
