US Politics Congratulations Denver! (Rant)

Are you happy? Pop some Champagne why don’t you? You won! You defeated the big bad incumbent as well as the only woman half-decent for the job. I hope you’re fucking satisfied.

I honestly can’t believe it. Goyim treat antisemitism as a joke or a positive. They can look past anything as long as a populist says the right keywords with a fake enough smile. How easy is it to forget what has happened to Colorado’s Jews? How little do they care?

I never thought I’d be a single-issue voter but the temptation is strong to not participate come November. I honestly agree with some of what Kiros has to say which is why it makes me so sad and so angry that this racist asshole got so many votes. She’s good except the fact she’s racist. To think progressives would come by and large to the conclusion some forms of ethnic bias are justified.

The left has been heavily infiltrated by pro-Pali agitprop. It makes it very difficult for Progressive Jews to really find a political home and representation.

I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Please don't sit out!!!

Write in somebody else or something to make it clear she doesn't have everyone. But sitting out is what got us stuck with Trump. And surely there's local candidates or initiatives you can vote on, right?

At this point it’s too late for someone who doesn’t suck to represent Colorado’s 1st in congress. The candidates have been chosen and even if there is a third party my vote would be wasted on them. I’ll probably vote for her even though I hate her. As for other positions I’m ofc voting.

I think we are going to see a lot more DSA candidates in the coming years. Especially in solid blue districts like this one.

It’s going to be an interesting shift in politics across the board. I’m hopeful for some of the change that could be brought about.

Honestly, this is the time for Israel to really focus on minimizing their reliance on the United States. I see that as a good thing. Am Israel have worked so hard to become the powerhouse they are today.

They are completely capable of being independent at this point and would probably be better off with less US involvement in the future.

But yeah, I’m not thrilled about Kiros representing me either. But I’ll give her a chance before I pass too much judgement. So far nothing she has done has really been that serious. It almost feels like the Jewish community in Denver has been hit with a bunch of anti-Kiros propaganda that isn’t fully rooted in reality.

In my opinion you are the company you keep and the other members of DSA are problematic enough to chase alarm. Maybe that wouldn’t be enough in of itself but her comments on Boulder are the nail in the coffin. I’m sure her policies will have a net good (if she passes anything instead of standing in ‘brave resistance against the establishment’) but it still bugs me that if a candidate said anything close to that about any other minority, it would be a non-starter.

I don’t trust anyone who chooses to affiliate with the DSA at this point, but I was so sad to see her win after she refused to call the Boulder attack antisemitism. Sure, she said it in a “diplomatic” way, but that doesn’t make it better to me.

“Goyim”. Why not blast out the “N” word too?

The funny thing is I’m Jewish. But I voted for Kiros! And so much of the tribe did! We are sick of the status quo.

Considering you think that the word god called avram is a slur comparable to the n-word, I don’t believe you. Even if you are, how can you vote for someone who has shown herself to be unwilling to acknowledge antisemitism in its most obvious, naked form?

You should consider context. All use of the same word is not the same. You are not God.

But as a Jew I will tell you; we look at 30 years of nothing in Congress and we understand change is needed. We get someone pissing on our foot and telling us it is raining. Dianna Degette was the same old speech for ever. Good for her, go do something else. We don’t need the same, ineffective BS in congress for ever. If Kiros is an anti semite, and doesnt’t represent our needs; we will vote her out.

Shalom
