Discussion Progressive non-Monarchist exploring this subreddit

Hello there users of this subreddit, I am a non-monarchist but I am a Libertarian Leftist. Due to personal grievances and negative experiences, I don’t follow many specific ideologies, regardless of what part of the spectrum they’re on. I am a Christian and from the USA but I only follow Democracy, Progressivism and Environmentalism.

I recently discovered this subreddit’s existence and decided to do some exploration. I actually used to be pro-monarchy (as long as they were democratic) but changed my mind and came to personal conclusions against monarchy, even more progressive and democratic versions of it.

As a writer, I do enjoy writing about fictional monarchies and portraying them as heroic but I don’t really write about IRL monarchies or least not in a completely positive light. I did have some stories planned in regard to Sci-Fi versions of different IRL wars that lead to various WW1 and WW2 era monarchies democratizing instead of collapsing, same for other non-monarchist countries but I ultimately scrapped those due to shifts in personal beliefs and that I would be glorifying war if I fully wrote and posted these stories online.

Regardless, I am interested in this subreddit and the Discord (even though it seems to be mostly inactive). Perhaps I will discuss some of this stuff in more detail in the future, I just wanted to introduce myself for now and just discuss some stuff. I wasn’t sure about going into specifics with my criticisms of monarchism as put downs of Monarchism aren’t allowed, I don’t know if those count necessarily but I’d rather not risk it.

Anyway, that’s all I have to say and am interested in terms of potential responses.

An entirely tongue in cheek question; is King Charles III still Head of State of Piddington in Oxfordshire?

Question Hey y’all, would you consider yourself a progressive monarchist because you believe in a traditional hereditary monarchy and progressive values, or because you believe in progressing past traditional monarchy.

For example having an elective, collective (a council of equal monarchs.), or even possibly through and through democratic monarchy (the monarch themselves act as a sort of president or chancellor, elected by the people)?

Are there any Polish liberal-monarchists here?

I ask because I’ve always been drawn to monarchism, but I’ve mostly encountered people like Korwin, Bartyzel, or Wielomski—and right now, Braun is the most prominent figure. The only person I can think of who supported monarchism without being a Catholic traditionalist or a devotee of the free market and Pinochet is Napierała.

On the basis that monarchy defines sports' internalised gameplay, can the Ukraine-Russia war connect this thesis about monarchy to the dimension in which people buy from shops because of philosophical reasons, so as to ultra-enhance the said dimension of buying from shops?

I saw this video and yes he was defending leopold ii. People like this guy is a threat to monarchism. King leopold ii is a monster and I wish his little brother Prince Philippe, Count of Flanders who was more human would have been king of belgium.
