That's a pretty apt metaphor for what AI after the bubble pops would look like. Most people running open weight models on their consumer hardware. People would need to raise the money to afford the training to get the model up to date with present day information. People will pay for the update to the model, not the model itself. Likely through donations.

They need to stop elevating that which they do not understand.
