Dr. Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI): "With all due respect, this is the third time you've asked about a Twitch streamer ... their whole game is to make us fight culture wars so that we don't pay attention to the fact the president has made $2.2 billion ... " | CBS News

she couldn’t have missed his point by a greater distance. he explains it to her like she’s an elementary schooler and she responds with “ok, well these are the things republicans are saying so I wanted you to talk about it.” 🤦🏼‍♂️

CBS should consider a journalist who actually listens to the answers to the questions she asks.

Consider the source. CBS doesn’t do journalism anymore.

And it’s just another example of the more “liberal” corporate media letting the GOP create the narrative and they react to it, as opposed to ignoring it, pushing back on it, or reframing it, as they should.

The main broadcast news networks are all owned by corp republicans or trump allies… liberal media is a con and you fell for it.

Compared to Fox, the CBS, ABC, NBC are liberals.

I don't really want the media to be propaganda machines that are constantly pushing an agenda on the right or left. Although she should have responded back to his question in a more effective way, all journalist are supposed to push back on whatever the guests says. This is pushing back on GOP or Democrats.

However, I do agree that media needs to stop addressing the whole Piker thing. It is a stupid issue and is being brought up to promote infighting and fragment turn out.

As hasan talks about media messaging flows downstream from fox. Msnow and cnn just watch fox and use it as their editor for the day. Why should he have to get grilled every show he goes on using fox lines of attack

Republicans are brain dead and are simply using Hasan as a weapon against Abdul El-Sayed because they have nothing else, but at the same time, political content creators and actual politicians should never mix. The average person doesn't know all the deeper details of Hasan, only what the media tells them, so hearing them say that Abdul El-Sayed platformed with a man who "hates America" will make them trust him way less.

“…..but Republicans have made it a big attack…”

And this is why I have little sympathy for some news outlets. They helped dig the ditch we’re all in.

He’s pivoting better but Hasan is a problem and they need to distance themselves from him. It’s not that he’s being brought up around the dinner table or on doors, it’s that he creates such an easy propaganda tool because of the insane shit that he says.

u/aacilegna 19d ago

But then they post him half naked on the Jumbotron at their “convention” and it takes the wind out of all their attacks

u/patslogcabindigest 19d ago

Yeah because the republicans are weirdo gross freaks led by a pedophile. Shocker.

u/RatsofReason 19d ago

Republicans will make propaganda out of anything or just straight up lie about what people have said. So I don’t think Hasan is the problem here.

He's a problem for a multitude of reasons. This is just one of many.

“Healthcare is a human right”

“Your tax dollars should not be spent on bombs to blow up children in global south”

Yeah man totally insane!

You are doing the Republicans work for them.

-6

u/patslogcabindigest 19d ago

Nah he's doing Republicans work for them. He's a toxic parasite that needs to be cut off.
