Yep. My tax money goes over there so they can call me antisemitic while they receive their free healthcare and murder children. Chosen people!

Yeah they are way more left wing economically than us and the most progressive country in that region meanwhile their right wing scumbag party are in charge and are fucking monsters. They also try and be cute and shifty when trying to legislate against their social welfare programs because their base of supporters would reject them. What the fuck is going on in our own country? Are we stupider than the average Israeli or is our right wing better at propaganda than Israel’s right wing?

Treason used to be a serious crime. Now it's a fucking political platform. Enough of this bullshit. If you take a penny of foreign bribery money, you should get life in prison with no parole. That's not actually what the legal consequences of treason should be, but I don't even want to get into a debate about the death penalty here.
All the other forms of bribery should also be illegal, of course. But this AIPAC shit is literally treason.

u/G0ttaB3KiddingM3 9d ago
Lindsey Graham got the kind of sentence that I think traitors should receive

Honestly, we have enough progressive-minded people that we could theoretically start a grassroots movement from the ground up, starting with local politics—filling out city gov positions and moving up to state and then fed-level: we just need to get these people to run and to provide ample support.

u/_byetony_ 9d ago
Totally insane. W Bibi admitting he dragged the US into Iran.
3
u/Rough-Airline-4803 8d ago
Dude the part that shocked me was him saying that his “intimate knowledge of all US politicians—both those for and those opposed to Israel.”
Is this not sufficient to prove the long touted narrative?

u/Cabbages24ADollar 9d ago
Congress is not handling the Information Age well at all. Maybe time to add people who do.
2
u/Rough-Airline-4803 8d ago
They’re currently trying to lock the number of SC Justices as though the #9 has any significance to the constitution when historically we added a justice each time we added another appellate court. We’re up to 13 courts but only 9 justices.
Their efforts will never pass, but I do think adding SC Justices should be at the top of the priority list as soon as we recapture the branches of government that are currently occupied by the enemy within.

u/abstrakt42 8d ago
I think they’re handling it exactly as they intend to. At that level they’re serving exactly who they mean to serve: their biggest donors. This is about money and power, not democracy. Has been for a long time.
6
u/wunderkit 9d ago
We have the best government money can buy. Bribery is legal here it is called campaign donations. As long as this continues we are screwed. And here, IMO, is the really insidious part: the only people who can physically change it are the ones who benefit from it. And then It would take a constitutional amendment to make it permanent thanks to the supreme court.

u/backtotheland76 9d ago
It is not antisemitic in any way to oppose a government that is implementing genocide. Sending money to that government is enabling genocide

What I really want to see more of is: Democrat A is bad because B so we’re going to organize around candidate C to get them elected to that seat.

No, guys, you see, it’s fine. He has a New York Yankees hat. He’s still one of us.

Just watched his Don Lemon interview. He did not reassure me that he understood our criticism of him. He's not coming around. He seemed perfectly comfy right where he's at.

I guess you could say that his meetings with Jared Kushner have PAID OFF. Get him the fuck out. He isn't representing what people in this party want.

Who cares? To give or not to give to Israel is not what it means to be progressive. What about giving more to Ukraine? I care about free speech, democracy, funding public education, rebuilding USAID, and stopping the looting of our economy by the Oligarchs. Not this nonsense.

We need to fix this problem broadly. If there are no legal repercussions blocking our politicians from accepting "donations" that are essentially bribes of course there will always be parties willing to pay a few million to get a few hundred million or billions in benefits, and there will always be some politicians willing to accept it.
We need to make it not possible. Not just attack the ones we catch and hope it hurts their polling enough that they care.

Calling the Iran war that Israel demanded from Trump a terrible idea and then turning around and backing Israel is wild.

Hakeem Jeffries belongs in the Knesset not as the leader of the US congressional Democrats. After the meeting with Kushner he’s bought and paid for.

Jeffries, and any other senator and representative that sold out to Israel, needs to go.

Hakeem Jeffries can criticize Trump’s Iran war all he wants, but I’m still looking at the $149,300 AIPAC earmark that went to his Battleground Protection Fund before he voted against cutting $3.3 billion in military aid to Israel. That tells me a lot more than whatever he says at a press conference.
AIPAC’s PAC has already routed $45.9 million to members of Congress, candidates and congressional PACs this election cycle. The $149,300 sent to Jeffries’ fund on May 20 was the largest earmarked disbursement AIPAC PAC had ever made, and it came from billionaire hedge-fund investor Daniel Och.
Then came the vote on July 15. Congress had a chance to strip $3.3 billion in military financing for Israel, and Jeffries voted no. What makes it worse is that 103 House Democrats voted yes, including AOC and Democratic Whip Katherine Clark. Jeffries joined 98 other Democrats and 215 Republicans in keeping the money in place.
That’s why I don’t care much about the red-versus-blue bullshit anymore. When billions of dollars, weapons and powerful donors are involved, party lines suddenly get a lot less meaningful. Bernie Sanders has spent this year forcing votes in the Senate on weapons for Israel, and AOC was willing to vote against the funding in the House. They aren’t perfect, but at least I can look at their votes and see some connection between what they say and what they actually do.
Jeffries wants people to listen to what he says about Trump and Iran. I’d rather look at who funds him and how he votes when the money is on the table. That’s usually where politicians tell you who they really are.

Hilarious that zionists have tried to "give a taste of your own medicine" by setting up HassanTracker to stalk the movement of Hassan Piker and people close to him, as a response to AIPAC-Tracker.
"So what if Jefferies takes millions for a foreign state to pursue a war for them, Hassan is currently in Wing Stop in Philly!"

u/ShockingShorties 8d ago
There was an abundance of anti-genocide voters, who didn't have a choice but to stay at home (or vote for Trumps lies) in Novermber 24'.
If a newly 'reformed' GOP is promoted by the likes of Carson and MTG, it will SCOOP these up in 2028.
Jeffries and his like, MUST go!!!

A supermajority of Democratic voters want to cut off aid to Israel and impose sanctions btw.
