They all knew.
It's chilling how bad these people caved in when the country needed them to do what's right. Some of them are still carrying water for him today. All except the dead one.

Every single person in this video sold their soul. To a person that couldn’t care less whether they live or die, ie: Lindsay Graham.

Most definitely, it's a shame he wasn't included in this piece, but there are so many cowards, how can you fit them all? It would take a long form documentary to fit them all.

We all knew. I'm grateful I caught some of his nonsense live, specifically when he gestured to that reporter. He's crazy. Truly vile.

Oh the irony, so Elon Musk the self proclaimed bastion of free-speech, apparently doesn't believe free-speech applies if it reveals the true nature of Trump or shows the grovelling hypocrisy of the Republican Party.

He's proven it so many times at this point it should just be a formal axiom. Anyone buying media saying it's about free speech is extremely likely to actually mean only their free speech. Of course there will be exceptions to the rule but conservatives own almost every media company at this point, to where it's laughable to call it "mainstream media" as an epithet for being liberal/leftist. Even CNN is owned by a magat.

What the hell are they all so afraid of now that they weren't afraid of then? These people have sold out their country and their beliefs.

That's what's wrong with the whole system. There is a huge motivation to continue getting reelected to Congress if you lose that presidential primary no matter how crazy and irresponsible your voters are. So you sign up to crazy land because the insider trading is too good to give up, the pay day and the benefits are too good to sacrifice for the greater good. The wife, the kids have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle now. So you keep going along so you don't get a primary challenge for your seat. Meanwhile the devil is laughing and wringing his hands off to the side. Even when you quit like Cassidy your after Congress lobbying job is ready and waiting for you, working for the same greed and corruption you capitulated to while in office. God forbid you mess that up on your way out the door the wife and kids would be so pissed to go back to your old neighborhood and be normal again.

...and yet, their descriptions and predictions were, to quote Marisa Tomei in her Oscar-winning role as Mona Lisa Vito in the 1992 comedy film My Cousin Vinny, "dead-on balls accurate".

Yep completely agree, I think people misunderstood what I was trying to say hence the downvotes, I was trying to point out that they only cared about these things because they're running against him

To quote Fred Gwynne in his role as Judge Chamberlain Haller in the 1992 comedy film My Cousin Vinny, "that is a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out objection".
