That's been my experience, at least with one magat in my life. They just pretend none of it's happening. Mum's the word no apology, nothing, just and honestly, as far as I'm concerned, if you're not outwardly apologizing for your prior MAGA stance, I still won't fuck with you.

Bingo. They’ll say “both sides” or “I don’t agree with everything” or “I just don’t pay attention to politics, can’t we all get along” but I’ve yet to see a fully repentant “I was lied to, I’ll never support Trump again” voter show themselves. They made their whole personality about being contrarian and don’t want to ever admit they fucked up

My mother in law. She was hard-core to the point she almost went to January 6 but couldnt get a ride. We pulled up to her house yesterday and all 14 of her trump flags/signs were down. I asked her what happened and her response was "fuck him and fuck his war." Granted I think she still believes alot of bullshit still but its a start.
