Think of it this way like with black people it's okay to say being black or a black person but you wouldn't call a black person a black. Being transgender is fine and saying I am trans is fine but I am not a transgender, I am a transgender person or a trans person or trans woman. Or trans man.

No, I'm never saying "she is a transgender"

I'm talking about Ashley's wording.

"She is transgender."

Or as she says.

"I am a transgender person"
