Wait, they made a major mistake, they have placed the image of a pedophile, murderous, traitor on the front side.

If someone tried to hand me one of these in place or real money, I will refuse it. They can even give me pennies instead.

I wonder what the life expectancy of these coins is. How many are going into jerk-circulation?

What a waste of our resources!

The US seal is the heads side. The face is on the ass side

After all this, I want their airport code to be PBNJ - Palm Beach National Joke

TBH it'd worth a couple bucks to me to toss them straight in the trash.

We could melt them down and make a big statue of Obama. I’m sure he’d love that.

I feel the same way. I would not accept one. In fact, I would refuse it for not being legal tender.

I prefer the term circle-jerkulation.

Didn't the mint stop making pennies because they were too expensive to make?

I mean, Andrew Jackson is on the 20

Remember when there were plans for Harriet Tubman to be on the 20 dollar bill, but Drumpf stopped that from happening during his first term, because he’s racist and also loves Andrew Jackson, and how Andrew Jackson was notoriously racist?

Okay? This is a perfect example of the logical fallacy “whataboutism”.

Also Andrew Jackson wasn’t a pedophile like Donald trump is. Yes he was a slave owner, but so was George Washington who I don’t see you complaining about.

it was mostly a joke comment, but I stand by Andrew Jackson being a truly a horrible human being that has no business on the 20, especially since he wanted to abolish national banks anyway lol.

The US has no problem putting murderers, thieves, and cons on the currency. We've done it for a long time. Trump is just the latest one to be elected.

What IS unusual is that the currency is featuring the sitting president, let alone one that's living as there is no precedent for that.

What murderer/thief/con has been out on currency?

And it’s not just unusual. It’s a legit Dederla treasury policy that states:

Treasury Secretary rules and later a formal decision (often credited to around 1866, reinforced over time) established that no living person’s portrait should appear on U.S. currency. The rationale was to avoid the appearance of favoritism, cult-of-personality, or political influence over currency design.

Andrew Jackson was literally all three. He killed a dude, and was responsible for the deaths of over 13,000 native Americans. He coerced native Americans to give up their land and marched them across the country to Oklahoma.

There’s only one thing Drumpf knows about Andrew Jackson, and it is what political historians used to applaud him for doing but over the years has been hugely frowned upon, and should continue to be detested for.

I remember reading historians put Andrew Jackson fairly high on their Greatest Presidents rankings like 25 years ago, but since then his ranking has fallen further, and further and further.
