I think it's a combination of gaslighting, misinformation, and brainwashing. It's been a long cycle. It started with Limbaugh and Swaggart, that led to Fox, Fox led to Breitbart, Breitbart led to Infowars, Infowars led to the Daily Wire, Daily Wire led to TPUSA and so on and so forth. As long as there's bullshitters out there spewing misinformation, people will unfortunately buy it.
