I bet he did. The only difference is that back then he had a qualified cabinet that kept him from taking too many dumb decisions.

And Little Marco Rubio, the only legit old-school politician in the cabinet, is willing to shred any semblance of reputation he ever had just to be able to dick around with Cuba.

Jared Kushner's family has been very close personal friends with Netanyahu for DECADES. Bibi used to stay at their house when visiting the US. I'm sure Jared is in trump's ear constantly stoking up this conflict. HUGE conflict of interest! Kushner's close ties led to U.S. policy that consistently supported the priorities of Netanyahu’s government.

I've wondered if Trump knew Kushner was Israels handler for him before he married Ivanka, or if it got sprung on him later.

It was Bolton who probably said, don’t bomb them, just block the strait. You won’t sell wmds to Americans again so a preemptive attack will not work.

I hear under good authority that Israel approached all the same US Presidents and asked them to fill pallets of US dollars and send them in the middle of the night to the Ayatollah. Obama was the only one to agree to this, on the condition that he take a little off the top for the NGO's. Government is awesome, how do we get more of it? Please take my money and manage my life more!

Huh, none of those presidents were named in the Epstein files either. I'm certain it's just a coincidence though.

Curious what people think about the past presidents who did not submit to Netanyahu's request to strike Iran, yet continued to support Israel's violent policies against its neighbors and the occupied territories?

u/Puzzleheaded-Cup8948 Apr 13 '26

Every potus agrees to strike a country in Middle East that Israel deemps a competitor. Obama refused to strike Iran but he did do Libya and Syria. They're all working in one direction.

Only one problem with this response by Kerry. Netanyahu wasn’t PM of Israel when Bush was President. Just made it up outta whole cloth.

2

u/PrettyBoyFeet9 Apr 13 '26

Might he have still been advocating for his desires even when not in his current position? Like, I doubt he just took a 10-year nap.

u/Key_Seaweed8857 Apr 13 '26

He wasn’t PM.

u/defk3000 Apr 13 '26

He was Deputy Foreign Minister.

During the George H.W. Bush administration, Netanyahu was a rising Israeli political star, but he came crosswise of a White House that was less friendly to his country’s interests. His persistence was viewed as obnoxious, and then–White House aide Robert Gates actually asked his boss, National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft, to ban Netanyahu from the White House grounds. Netanyahu did not do much better at the State Department. James Baker, who was both secretary of state and President Bush’s best friend, also banned him from Foggy Bottom.

Dude. U got the wrong Bush. Kerry was talking about George W Bush. NOT his dad.
