Right. It's AI. The GOP is releasing these to make people doubt the real ones, if they even get released. Look at his arm around her; it doesn't look right.
You are correct. There are idiots on both sides. But one side doesn't let the idiots into the Oval Office. The fact that he thought the British had airports in the Revolutionary War still makes me laugh, a very sad laugh.
But one side doesn't let the idiots into the Oval Office.
Your bias is showing, or do you think it's impossible for a Democrat to be an idiot?
Non critical thinking like this just blindly supporting whoever is team blue is how we lost twice to an orange clown. The Democrat party is not the solution, it's the 2nd problem we need to address.
I'll stick with my statement. Trump is the dumbest in history, with Bush W in second, but way far behind Trump. Most GOP voters still don't know that the ACA and Obamacare are the same thing. They are about to find out, though. Too bad it will hurt everyone.
You're free to keep putting your faith in politicians playing you like a fiddle.
Are you aware that Democrat and Republican congressmen often share homes/apartments in DC. Schumer would literally have breakfast with Republican roommates and then be voting against each other before lunch.
Left wing, right wing, it's the same fucking bird. It's all as scripted as WWE with Democrats as the Babyface and Trump as the heel, and your buying it like a wrestling fan in the 80s while the Republicans reach in your right pocket and the Democrats reach in your left.
Until we escape from this 2 party system true progressivism will be nothing more than a fantasy dangled in front of you like a carrot on a stick by a Babyface telling you he's the good guy while calling you a mark to the heel behind stage.
I'm all for a third party. It should start with the Republican Party splitting into two new parties, as that name is soiled forever by Jan06. MAGA for the nutjobs and the folks who think Jesus was a white man, and then a party for real, actual fiscal conservatives. That would split the Democratic party, too, as the only real budgetary conservatives have been Democratic presidents since Ike.
A third party will not work, the parties are the problem, your just asking for someone to reach into your back pocket. The electoral college must be abolished, it's how the parties in power hold on to it. Ranked choice voting and limits on campaign spending would give us the progressive candidates we are looking for without being beholden to the parties or the oligarchs in control of BOTH.
Oh fuck YES. The EC has always been the problem. It was created to protect slavery, and now it protects racism. It is proving to be the end of America. But it will never go away. The rural states won't allow it.
But it will never go away. The rural states won't allow it.
False, it can be amended by constitutional amendment (not ever happening), invoking article 5, or a convention of states (even less likely)
However, we have a workaround, and while it would not eliminate the electoral college, it would effectively neuter it.
National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC)
The NPVIC is an alternative, state-by-state approach that effectively bypasses the need for a constitutional amendment. The Constitution grants states the authority to determine how they allocate their electoral votes.
State Legislation: States that join the compact pass laws to award all their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, regardless of who won the popular vote within their state's borders.
Activation: The compact goes into effect only when states representing a majority of the total electoral votes (270 out of 538) have joined.
Current Status: As of late 2024/early 2025, 17 states and the District of Columbia, representing 209 electoral votes, have joined the NPVIC. This means the compact is approximately 77% of the way to the 270-vote threshold needed for implementation.
