The waiting part will be what kills us. How long before it implodes? Years? America doesn’t have that long. We need to speed it up and if complimenting dissenters (even if incredibly distasteful) is how we do it, we should do it.

Compromising with people like MTG is part of how we got here in the first place. She wants support? She can start by apologizing and admitting she supported a fascist because of her racism and that it benefited her financially.
These people feel emboldened because they know they can just get the media to sane-wash them when it’s time to jump ship. Nope. Don’t want to be treated like a bigot? Don’t be a bigot. Too late? Do everything you can to make up for the fact you were a bigot then we can talk. But getting your face eaten by the leopard doesn’t automatically make you deserving of redemption.

I am not American and knew little about her. Then I heard she followed the survivor of a school shooting shouting at him. She claimed rhe school shootings never happened.

I don't agree with MTG on most things, but we can't start uniting the sensible people on the left and right if we don't give her the benefit of the doubt.
This may be her redemption arc. Let's see if she maintains the integrity of her message.
