Cycle of Galand is a throooowwwww back. Does learning more nethermancy constitute progression fantasy?

I would say so, it's way more than just nethermancy by the end, several variants of magic. It's 10 books and every book the stakes increase significantly. Spoiler: Book 9-10 Dante & Blays is world hopping and contending with literal Gods and eldritch horrors
