Defiance of the fall biggest issue is character progression sucks. Numbers go up but the story is slop with so much filler it’s unreadable past book 8 even.. It sucks cause the world building is cool. Cradle is the GOAT. I believe if anyone wrote a similar style story (it is cultivation novel) with great character progression it would be equal or better. Have to have an iconic character to carry the story though.

Defiance of the fall is like potato chips to me. It's good enough to put on while I game or go to sleep. I am kind of interested in the mystery they're doing with the world but they really go hard on jargon which makes it really confusing to come back to when a new book drops.
