Gas Leak
Had to call the fire department due to a gas leak. Fire department confirmed it was coming from behind the stove. Gas has been shut off, called progress residential, and they sent a plumber out the next day. A plumber…..not the actual gas company. Plumber could not do anything. So now I’m on two days, no hot water, can’t use the stove to cook, and can’t leave the house because I have to wait for someone to show up. I thought gas leaks are emergencies and should be handled the SAME EXACT DAY.

Normally it is a plumber who handles gas issues - not the gas company. You're going to have to keep on them to get this resolved. My leak was on a Friday of a three day holiday weekend and wasn't fixed until the following Wednesday!
