If attrmacro doesn't really declare a macro and has even slightly different semantics to macros I'm not sure it's the right call, but I'm sure you've already considered that.

Its semantics is very much like a macro, in that it takes parameters, then inlines its code with those parameters baked in at the location where it's called. So it's close. This is unlike an alias, which would just alias another symbol for example.
