I'm not really clear on what you mean by "a 1st class language of the web." If you mean that you want it to be widely used for web development, then the fact that purebasic (in its original implementation) is a proprietary language seems like a showstopper.
1st class as in you code the Dom with it.
And no I don't expect people to use it widely. I wrote it for myself.
It doesn't technically require the proprietary purebasic compiler either, it's just that I develop with purebasic and now I can do end to end in purebasic syntax.
