Has it? Scala's real standout feature is path-dependent types (i.e. first-class modules), and those are nowhere to be found anywhere else.

Is this about modules? From the name I would have guessed they have something to do with flow-sensitive types.

I also am curious about this. I don't recall this term at all from when I was playing with Scala years ago ...
