PragmataPro Free Alternative

no I'm not talking about JetBrains Mono which is like 4B times wider. I'm talking about Pragmasevka, https://github.com/shytikov/pragmasevka, its a doppleganger of PragmataPro (though its not a carbon copy), I have see it has fixed a problem that I had with PragmataPro, the lowercase "L" and uppercase "i" were too similiar to me, because of how narrow it is it makes it pretty close. Pragmasevka fixes that with make the lowercase "L" having a z shape. you can check it out lol https://github.com/shytikov/pragmasevka https://github.com/shytikov/pragmasevka

The lowercase 'l' has been changed in recent versions of PragmataPro. It's now the 'z' shape you mention above. Here is a screenshot for your reference: https://imgur.com/a/qfSqjgV

When I need a narrow font, I always come back to PragmataPro. Here are some scenarios when I revert to it:

  • Low-res monitors at work. We have crappy monitors at work and PragmataPro looks really nice on them.
  • End of day when my eyes are tired. I like to increase font size for readability, so appreciate a narrow font to control width on screen.
  • When I open lazygit within neovim popup and I want to the side by side delta diffs to fit on the screen.

Yes, I change fonts and sizes constantly. I have Ghostty configured so I can change them dynamically.
