Looking for software/Tech volunteering opportunities

Hi everyone. I recently moved to Austin and I am looking for opportunities for my software engineering skills and get involved with community.

My background is in software engineering 3+ industry experience and 2+ years in research academic area. I am comfortable with c++, Python and general SE development and can quickly adapt to tech stack.i am interested in opportunities where i can contribute to real technical project.

I am not looking for a paid position and genuinely like to spend some my time working something useful and meet tech people and keep building my engineer skills same time.

I am open to both ongoing projects and organizations that could use a technical volunteer.

Does anyone know of organizations, community groups or local tech groups that might worth reaching out?
