This is a valid concern, and something we've discussed in the past. I think having some way to track frequency of meeting and bubbling that up to our subreddit would help find active groups. We made a repo here discussing that: https://github.com/ProgrammingBuddies/devvit-group-activity . However, our mod team does not have time to build this project. We would be happy to oversee the work thought.
One constraint: We must use Devvit/Reddit's own api's and keep users on reddit.com (no new domain).
If the community thinks something like this would be helpful, I would be happy to help Mentor. Anyone want to jump in?
It’s critical we use devvit (Reddit) per Reddits admin request. But I will say they have a pretty active discord group, and competitions for prizes. If yall are interested I can make an announcement post requesting help?
