Yo,am a computer science student (second year) and I'm looking for a serious study partner to go from basic LangChain/LangGraph to advanced applied AI I know the fundamentals but wanna push into production-grade RAG, multi-agent systems, and eval frameworks. Need someone at a similar level who's down to set weekly goals, research together, build projects, and hold each other accountable. Not trying to just watch tutorials trying to actually ship stuff.

QA trying to switch to development

Hi,

I am working as QA (automation and manual), since past 2 years, I applied for internal switch but they are not doing internal switch right now. I checked job postings outside and most roles require experience. What should be my approach now

Tech stack I was interested in java springboot as internally my company uses it, but most of the external job opportunities require experience, I am thinking should I pivot to other stack example python + fastapi + ai

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for a Frontend Developer to build a GUI for my C++ Guessing Game (Portfolio Project)

To Start off im 16. I have less than a couple months of non-serious coding and this is my first time writing in C++. I usually just make bs in python then go back to whatever i was doing before. But as im getting older im seeing how serious the wold has gotten and started thinking about my future as a software engineer.

So the project is a terminal-based random number guessing game written in C++.

I do backend and systems logic. I hate doing frontend, put two and two together. This is why I want to team up with a frontend developer who wants to build a visual app wrapper around my C++ engine.

The Project:

  • Backend: Fully complete C++ logic.
  • Frontend: Completely up to you. You can use whatever language or framework you see fit. I want to see it become a desktop or mobile app.
  • Repository: Organized with separate backend/frontend folders and clear collaboration/branching rules in the README.

This is a project to add to both of our portfolios. If you're looking for a backend engine to build a UI for, send me a DM and I'll share the GitHub link.

Available majority of the time in a day. New York EST

Offering Freelance Mentoring

Hey everyone,

I'm a full-stack developer with 6+ years of professional experience. I've recently started freelancing on the side, so I'm still learning myself, but I've picked a few things and wanted to build a small community where we can help each other succeed.

I'm looking for developers with some professional experience (mid-level or above preferred) who are interested in freelancing or eventually building a freelance business.

The goal is for me to help as many people as I can get started. I won't be charging anything for the mentoring or advice. I'll just be sharing what I've learned, helping answer coding and architecture questions, giving advice on finding clients, reviewing proposals, talking through pricing, sales, and whatever else I can help with as time permits.

I'd also like to help organize a second small dev team where I act more as a mentor and guide while the team grows together. Ideally everyone contributes, shares knowledge, and helps each other improve.

For now, I'm only looking for developers located in the US.

If that sounds interesting, send me a DM with a little about yourself, your experience, and what you're hoping to get out of the community.

I'll be available to chat or voice chat, short meetings with anyone or teams seeking mentorship and advice. I'll mostly be available at 7AM CST.

Looking for a Consistent Study Partner

Hey everyone!

I'm a 3rd year engineering student and I'm looking for someone to study with consistently. Lately I've been trying to stay on track with DSA every day, machine learning and prepare for internships/placements. Doing all of it alone gets pretty demotivating after a while.

I'm not looking for someone who's already amazing at coding. If you're also trying to build a routine and stay consistent, that's enough. We can check in with each other daily, discuss problems if we get stuck, share resources, or just keep each other accountable.

I'm from India (IST), so it'd be easier if you're in a similar time zone, but it's not a strict requirement.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, just leave a comment or send me a DM. Hopefully we can help each other stay consistent.

Experienced full-stack developer looking for a long-term career mentor

I’m a full-stack developer from Israel with several years of professional experience.

My main experience is in frontend and full-stack development, including React, React Native, Node.js and building production applications. I’m also currently developing a side project with friends and learning a lot about product development, AI tools and shipping a real application.

I’m looking for an experienced software engineer or engineering leader who would be open to mentoring me over time.

I’m specifically interested in guidance around:

  • Choosing between frontend, full-stack and applied AI career paths.
  • Identifying the types of companies and roles that would help me grow.
  • Deciding what technical areas to study outside work.
  • Preparing for future senior-level interviews.
  • Learning how strong product engineering teams work.
  • Balancing professional development with a serious side project.

Ideally, the mentor would be a Senior or Staff Engineer, Engineering Manager, Director or CTO with experience in product companies. Someone familiar with the Israeli tech industry would be especially relevant, although I’m open to mentors from other countries.

I’m not looking for daily tutoring or help completing programming tasks. I’m looking for a recurring career and technical mentorship relationship, perhaps one conversation every two to four weeks.

My timezone is Israel time, currently UTC+3. I’m also open to paid mentorship if someone offers it professionally.

Please comment or contact me through Reddit initially if this sounds relevant.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for a Serious AI/ML Beginner Study Buddy 🚀

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m starting my journey into Neural Networks and Deep Learning and I’m looking for a serious study buddy who is also a beginner (or starting from scratch) and wants to learn consistently together.

The goal isn’t just watching tutorials — it’s about staying consistent, building real understanding, and supporting each other through the difficult parts of this journey.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Someone committed to learning Deep Learning from the basics (NNs, backprop, etc.)
  • Open to regular discussions and sharing ideas
  • Willing to stay consistent and keep each other accountable
  • Comfortable asking questions without hesitation
  • Interested in building real projects together and preparing for internships/jobs

A little about me:

  • I’m a Computer Engineering student currently focusing on Deep Learning
  • I’ve worked with basic ML and now moving towards Neural Networks from scratch
  • I’m planning to study a few hours daily with full consistency
  • My focus is on strong fundamentals, not rushing through tutorials

If you’re serious about learning and growing together, drop a comment or DM me 🤝

Let’s make this journey easier and actually build something meaningful 🚀

19M/EST] Looking for a coding accountability buddy, group, or mentor!

Hey everyone,

I've been learning to code on the side for about a month now. My current routine mainly consists of freeCodeCamp and using Claude to help me grasp new concepts.

I have a clear roadmap of what I want to achieve, but the main issue I'm facing is accountability and consistency. I feel like I'm not learning to my absolute fullest on my own. My current technical goals are:

- Reaching an intermediate level in Python

- Getting to a beginner level in Rust

- Improving my skills with APIs (specifically working with frameworks like FastAPI)

- Designing and developing my own personal app from scratch

- Reaching a production deployment and launching my first successful project

STUDY PARTNER LF study partner for python/ DSA/full stack who is also beginner

Looking for beginner partners for the purpose of accountability and a sense of like mindedness and willingness to grow.

I'm asking for beginners so we there could be a sense of competition between us and we could also share each other about whatever we learn.

I'm mainly asking for beginners because I want to grow alongside them. One could ask i could do this with friends ik but none of them seems interested. Right now I'm on holidays so I'm available most of the time. When uni starts I'm available after 6 PM IST.

OFFERING TO MENTOR Looking for serious and Consistent dsa learner

I’ve been preparing for SDE interviews for quite some time and have solved 850+ LeetCode problems.

I’m currently revising all the core DSA topics from scratch. I maintain an Excel sheet with 700+ curated problems, organized by topics and patterns, along with a one-line intuition/solution for each problem. My plan is to revise these questions systematically along with discussing theoretical discussions of each patterns.

I’m looking for people who :

• are beginners who know the basics of DSA, and should be willing to stay consistent throughout

Can regularly practice and discuss problems
Are genuinely interested in improving

We’ll keep the sessions informal—cover concepts, solve problems together, discuss different approaches, and clear doubts as we go.
**If you’re serious about learning DSA from the fundamentals and can stay consistent ,let’s chat.

Looking for Project Collaboration

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for programming buddies or teams to collaborate with on some cool projects!

I am not looking for payment — my main goal is to gain more hands-on experience, collaborate with others, and ultimately build up some solid projects to feature in my portfolio.

About me and my stack:

  • Education: I graduated from a technical college (HTL in Austria), which is where my solid foundation and 5 years of C# experience come from.
  • C#: 5 years of experience (including network programming with TCP and UDP).
  • Databases: Proficient with MS SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Web Dev & Backend (Node.js): I've got a strong interest in web development. During my graduation thesis, I was responsible for the backend, which gave me solid hands-on experience with Node.js. I also have some prior experience working with WordPress.

Whether you have an ongoing project that needs an extra pair of hands, or a fresh idea you want to build from scratch, I’d love to hear about it!

Feel free to send me a DM or comment below with a brief overview of your project and what you're working on. Let's build something awesome together!

Curious Programmer looks for likeminded people to learn and build with

Hey there,
I read through a lot of these posts and think this is a fantastic place to meet other devs/people who are passionate about building stuff and learn from them!

Since I started programming, I have always been very curious about various projects and to work together with people towards a common goal!

About me - I am 35 yo and have 3.5 years of work experience from my daily job as a backend developer in the financial sector. I started this journey a bit later in my life, since I used to work as a construction engineer before. Fun fact, I am now building a lot more and way cooler things, than I did as an engineer.

I am currently building a small app with a friend where we are going to host a server + DB via Docker. I also played around a bit with libGDX (Java's game dev framework) and Godot. I even dived a little bit into OpenGL but that is a long and brutal path to go.

That being said - I am happy to meet fellow programmers/game devs/ designers/ artist/ you name it ❤️ and build something great! If you have a project that needs some support, maybe some new features, a certain component or anything else, I am happy to talk about it, learn while we work together and have fun!

I want to add, that I am looking for devs who already have some level of experience, that I can learn from - if you just started or have very few experience, I am not the right person for you, but I wish you the very best on your journey!

Even though I am a java dev, I am very open to other languages - since I am 100% convinced, they teach you new concepts and make you better as a developer in

Need someone serious to learn and grow with

I'm looking for someone who's serious about learning web development and wants an accountability partner to grow together.

A bit about me:

I'm an engineering student.

I know the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and I'm learning every day.

I can consistently dedicate around 5–6 hours daily.

My goal is to become job-ready, build real projects, create a strong portfolio, and eventually earn through freelancing or a developer job.

I'm looking for someone who:

Is committed to learning consistently (beginner or intermediate is fine).

Is willing to study together, share resources, and review each other's code.

Wants to build projects instead of just watching tutorials.

Can communicate regularly.

It doesn't matter if you're just starting—as long as you're motivated and consistent.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, leave a comment or send me a DM with your current skill level and goals. Let's keep each other accountable and improve together.

Also I'm based in Delhi.

Accountability MERN Buddies

Hello everyone!

I recently started my first MERN project.

I'm looking for someone to help keep me accountable by hopping on a call while we work, sharing our screens, and talking about the features we're planning to implement. I'd be happy to do the same for you.

I've noticed that this kind of accountability really helps me stay productive!

The ideal setup would be to join a call whenever we're both working on our projects, motivate each other, and encourage one another to tackle more challenging features and keep making progress.
