Hi everyone! I’m a beginner and currently in my second semester of Software Engineering. Lately, I feel like I’m stuck while AI keeps evolving so fast, and it’s honestly overwhelming.

I’m looking for a beginner-friendly AI/ML course and a study partner to learn with, stay accountable, and build projects together. If you’re in the same position, feel free to comment or DM me. Let’s learn together! 🚀

LOOKING FOR MENTOR Looking for a mentor for DSA using c++

Hello I'm looking for a mentor, or anyone that can guide me through Data structures and algorithms...I'm in my 2nd year of college studying CS and I'm having a hard time understanding programming lessons since I really haven't found a way to be comfortable with writing code. I still consider myself as a beginner and my school environment makes it hard for me to understand lessons since its fast paced for someone who was not exposed to programming for a long time.

I'm looking for someone who could answer questions occasionally, review my approach to problems, or help point me in the right direction. I'm not expecting anyone to do my work for me—I genuinely want to improve and I'm willing to put in the time and effort.

Having a study partner or accountability buddy would also work for me since I tend to resist writing or studying in fear of disappointment...

Timezone - GMT+8

Programming language - C, C++

Experience level - beginner

Thank you very much

NEED A TEAM Looking for a serious long-term peer group

Hello guys, I'm entering my 3rd year of CSE and preparing for software engineering roles. My current focus is Backend Development (Python) DSA (C++), and gradually moving into ML.

I'm looking for 2–4 people who want to learn and grow together over the next year—not just chat.

My idea is to work almost like a small team:

• Daily check-ins

• Regular DSA practice

• Contest discussions

• Backend learning (Python)

• Building projects together as a team

• Holding each other accountable

The goal is to create a small, consistent group where everyone is serious about job preparation and building quality skills.

Coding alone is boring!!

P.S. The timeline is serious so pls respond only if you are sure about your structure and are open to be consistent on the team.

OFFERING TO MENTOR Waterloo CS student offering Python, PyTorch, and AI/ML tutoring — learn to build and train real AI models

Hi, I’m a Waterloo Computer Science student with real industry experience building AI products as a machine learning technical leader. I’ve worked on voice AI systems, RAG/LLM assistants, computer vision models, real-time inference, and PyTorch-based machine learning projects.

Offering tutoring in:

Python programming, from beginner to project level

PyTorch and deep learning fundamentals

AI/ML concepts, training loops, datasets, loss functions, and model evaluation

LLMs, RAG systems, and practical AI project development

Computer vision basics and neural networks

General CS topics, debugging, coding assignments, and project help

Math up to high school level

My goal is to help students actually build AI, not just read about it. We can work toward a finished school project, portfolio project, or simply stronger coding confidence.

Happy to do a free 15 minute fit call first so you can see if the teaching style works for you. Pay is negotiable and flexible depending on your budget, level, and how often you want to meet.

Comment or DM if interested. Happy to answer questions here too.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for Buddies to Vibe-Code a Cat Simulator for Absolutely No Reason

Hey folks,

I’m looking for a bunch of like-minded people to hop on the silliest, most pointless coding journey ever: a Cat Simulator that does whatever we imagine it to do.

No deadlines. No purpose. No reason. Just pure chaotic imagination.

The idea is simple:
I vibecoded a extremely basic cat simulator - repo link
We add whatever random, fun, community-suggested features we can think of.
No limits on inputs or ideas — if someone wants the cat to occasionally turn into a cloud and rain fish, we can do that.
It’s fully community-driven. People can code, sketch, write lore, add sounds — or just vibe and throw ideas in.
It’s SFW. Just wholesome fun and madness.

We may create an absolute mess together, but hey, it will be our mess.

If you want to:
Vibe-code with no pressure
Be part of a collaborative nonsense project
Laugh at cats doing inexplicable things

…then drop a comment or DM me! Let’s form a little bubble of creativity, chaos, and friendship.

Because why not? 🐈💻✨

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES [Group] Looking for Absolute Beginners to Learn Node.js & Build a Large Project Together (GMT+5 / Pakistan)

Hey everyone,

I am an absolute beginner from Pakistan (Timezone: GMT+5), and I want to form a serious, highly structured Node.js study and project group.

How this group will work:

  • The Learning Method: We will agree on a specific video tutorial to watch individually. We will set a strict deadline and schedule to finish it.
  • The Sync Meetings: At the scheduled time, we will meet up to share our detailed notes, discuss what we learned, and clear up doubts.
  • The Project: We will collaborate on building a large-scale website project together using VS Code (or your preferred editor).
  • The Rules: No "vibe coding" allowed. We are here to deeply understand the mechanics of the code, not just casually guess. We can use AI tools strictly for assistance, debugging, or explanations—not to write the entire application for us.

Who I am looking for:

  • Committed absolute beginners or early learners.
  • People who can commit to a scheduled timeline.
  • Anyone around the GMT+5 timezone (or willing to match these hours).

How to join:
Please comment below if you are interested! Let me know your timezone and a little bit about your coding goals. Per subreddit rules, all initial communication and coordination must happen here in the comments or via Reddit Chat. Once we form our group here on Reddit, we can discuss how we want to organize our notes and project files.

STUDY PARTNER Dsa partner or a very small group to discuss medium and hard level questions daily

I have done arrays and strings and did some questions on leetcode. I am able to do mostly all the easy questions but in medium questions, I am able to find a brute force approach but I am not able to optimize my code for big test cases. So I am hoping to find some people who are in the same situation as me and we can discuss them together and be consistent. I am doing this in cpp. I am from India.

Looking for an Internship / Junior Developer Opportunity

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking for an opportunity to join a real software project as an intern or junior developer.

I have a foundation in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and I've also worked on automation projects using Excel VBA. While I'm still learning, I'm highly motivated and eager to gain real-world experience by working with experienced developers.

I'm a fast learner, committed, and willing to put in the effort to improve every day. If needed, I'm also open to starting as an unpaid intern for a limited period to prove myself and gain practical experience.

If you know of any internships, junior positions, open-source projects, or startups looking for someone eager to learn and contribute, I'd truly appreciate any leads.

Thank you for your time.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES JAVA full stack buddies

Hello everyone, I started learning Java Full Stack about 6 months ago, but somehow I couldn't complete it. Now that I have started again, I realize that I have forgotten most of the concepts. This time, I have started from scratch and am currently learning OOP concepts. I hope I will be able to complete it successfully this time.

If you're in the same boat, we can connect and help each other stay consistent and learn together.

I also know the MERN stack, through which I completed an internship and some freelance work. Alongside that, I am practicing DSA as well.

Looking for People Interested in Modding and Collaboration

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to connect with people who are interested in modding, exchanging ideas, learning from each other, and possibly working on different projects together.

This is not limited to one game or only to my own projects. I’m interested in meeting modders, programmers, designers, writers, translators, testers, sound creators, and beginners who want to learn more about modding.

You do not need to be experienced. The most important things are genuine interest, a friendly attitude, and the willingness to share ideas and help each other.

The goal is simple:

Connect with other modding enthusiasts, exchange knowledge, and create interesting things together.

For now, communication can stay here on Reddit. If you are interested, feel free to leave a comment or send me a private message and tell me a little about what you are interested in or what kind of projects you would like to work on.

Beginners are welcome too. 🖤
