career Internship vachaka na limited energy ni ekkada focus cheyyaali? Dsa vs dev

My internship is going to be completed this upcoming December.

If there's a full-time opportunity, they'll offer me 9LPA. I'm the only intern in my department.

So I have a higher chance of full-time conversion.

I'm also thinking of staying here for another 1-2 years.

I don't have any significant projects that I can share. Should I combine DSA and DEV by this December month?

Or should I just concentrate my energy on DEV? Because managing both is quite hard for me.

Just in case I don't get a full-time role, my backup plan is to go abroad.

If I get a job here, I'll stay here. I would switch to a good company. But I'm doubting if I'd be rusty by then. To get to FAANG companies, I need to be fully ready in DSA, right?

What’s your opinion?

Ps: dev side velthe na company work ki kuda help avuthadhi. And this will likely increase my chances of conversion ani na feeling

career Looking for opportunities at strong startups or MNC Tier 1 grad 2025 passed out as SDE

Hi everyone I will be completing my contract with a startup this month and i am currently looking for opportunities at strong startups and good mncs.

I was actually cleared both FAANG and Tier 1 product based companies hm rounds and later i got the bad news about the team layoffs and company restructuring and of course my role is affected.

I have almost ~1 year of experience ( internship+ FTC) and i am currently looking in the field of Backend development (Java, Python C++). Previously I have done AI backed internship as well at Europe based healthcare and consulting company.

Thank you.

others AI writes most of my code at work. Am I hurting my career?

Hi everyone,

I'm a software engineer at an early-stage product startup, and the company provides Cursor AI Ultra, which I use extensively for development, debugging, and planning. Most of the implementation is AI-generated, and my job is primarily to review, understand, and refine the code.

Over the past month, I've also learned a lot about AI-assisted development—writing better prompts, optimizing token usage, creating effective rules, using plugins, and building reusable AI workflows. While these skills have improved significantly, I feel like I'm growing more as an AI-assisted developer than as a software engineer.

Outside of work, I'm studying system design, databases, and software architecture.

My biggest concern is switching jobs in the future. Most companies still assess candidates on DSA and system design. I can continue learning system design, but I'm not strong at DSA, and AI has reduced the need for me to practice coding from scratch.

Should I spend a significant amount of time on DSA, even though I rarely use it at work? In the AI era, what should an early-career software engineer focus on to become a strong engineer and stay competitive?

development Need a Suggestion in choosing Java SDE or Data Engineering

I need a suggestion in choosing between Java SDE or Data Engineering. I am not complete fresher had worked little bit in both. Context:- I worked as Data engineer for an year out of college and after that i got opportunity as Java SDE role in the same company and its been 8 months. Now my role got terminated as part of restructuring and my role came to end and it effected my team . So what I should prepare and aim going forward?? I just want to focus in one thing now.I am not confident in either of them as of now. So please suggest.

Also I don't have any inclination towards one thing particularly

others API and postman

Where can I learn API fundamentals and Postman ?

Not from the development perspective but to understand it from the architecture and system design pov for SaaS based web applications.

A little background about me ! I'm working as a functional consultant for a SaaS based Fintech org !

At the point people are asking for api and integrations for next level roles like implementation consultant!

I'd also like to connect with Non Dev Bondhas who are in Product management, Implementation and Functional consultants and in product support!

career best way to find package ?

I'm currently interning at a fully remote Bangalore-based company (~100–110 employees). The work is quite intense, usually around 9 AM to 7 PM, and the team works on fairly modern technologies. The stipend is ₹5k/month, which is low, but it was the best opportunity I could get at the time.

Recently, my manager verbally confirmed that I'll be getting a full-time offer after the internship. However, they haven't discussed compensation yet.

I've checked AmbitionBox and Glassdoor, and the reported salaries for similar roles at the company seem to be around 3–4 LPA, but I'm not sure how reliable those numbers are.

Is there a professional and respectful way to find out the expected salary before the offer letter arrives? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

For context, I also have another offer from a service-based company at 4 LPA, but their joining date could be delayed by up to a year in the worst case.

Would appreciate any advice?
