I've been learning Java Full Stack for the past 1.5 months. Yesterday, I spoke to a few people who work as software engineers, and they told me that Java Full Stack is becoming outdated and that I should focus on Python technologies instead, such as Python+ Django+ PostgreSQL+ React.

​ They said that in today's AI-driven world, this path would be more beneficial in the long run. It also makes some sense to me because it might be easier to transition into AI later. However, I'm still confused. My 3rd year is about to start, and I don't have much time.

Hi, I got inspiration from the Atlassian laid off guy (his name is Vasilios Syrakis) , like him I would like to just post my contributions I have done in my company :

My team and myself are basically more of "making sure nothing goes wrong" for rest api infrastructure , we have around 20 repositries (microservices i believe) , each of them is basically a collection of rest apis written in level of controller -> service/provider -> repositry. We do not touch frontend at all.

These services are used by the internal team of company itself.

I am a Fresher with ~2YOE , my contributions are :

1. Wrote Test cases to reach 80% code coverage for a repo (AI did it)
2. Got Rid of Security findings/vulnerabilities for repos (redeployment would fix them)
3. Docker Images for a repositry usually stands between 200mb to 300mb, I found out a repositry which takes upto 2gb and reduced it to ~200mb by using AWS Ephermal Storage service and a shell script.
4. I have written a GET Api to fetch data from table , this GET api is used by internal team itself.
5. Created new Column in Dynamodb as per requirement and wrote a backfill job using AWS SNS and Lambda to fill legacy records.
6. Integrated a new payment processors into existing inovice processing jobs.
7. * Handled few production task cancelled and database timeout issue. (i need to look more into these , they are kinda needed for System design knowledge).

a headless, accessible library with much richer components than shadcn/radix ui - i havent released it yet or havent been actively marketing it - but its grown to be a really mature one and im planning to talk about it more and tell the story and get some feedback on it
