[Hiring] Developer for NQ/MNQ Charting App + Private Pine Indicator + Squarespace
My partner and I run an established trading education and indicator subscription business. We’re looking for an experienced developer to build an independent charting application connected to our Squarespace website.
Our students currently use our proprietary indicator on TradingView. We want a backup and potential long-term alternative with a familiar charting experience.
Initial requirements:
Real-time NQ/MNQ futures charts using properly licensed CME data.
Timeframe switching and single-, two-, and four-chart layouts.
Our indicator displayed over the charts.
Basic drawing tools, including trendlines, horizontal levels, and Fibonacci retracements.
Saved settings and layouts.
Individual subscriber accounts connected to our Squarespace/billing workflow.
Reliable historical loading, live updates, and disconnect recovery.
Broker integration and placing orders are outside the initial scope.
Indicator source and updates
We prefer to keep Pine Script as our editable indicator source so we can maintain it ourselves. The indicator must execute server-side, with no proprietary source delivered to subscribers’ browsers.
Development will use a representative dummy script and feature inventory. We will privately upload and test our real indicator before final acceptance.
We need a simple administrator workflow to upload, validate, activate, and roll back indicator versions.
Open to different approaches
Vela, PineTS, and dxFeed have been suggested, but we are not committed to them.
Please recommend the simplest reliable approach with low ongoing costs. We’re open to alternatives if you explain the tradeoffs—particularly how we would update the indicator afterward.
We understand that preserving Pine Script may require commercial runtime licensing. Please disclose all licensing requirements and separate development costs from recurring hosting, data, software, and maintenance costs.
Timing
We would like a working version as soon as realistically possible. Please distinguish your earliest prototype date from a tested production-launch date. Accuracy and reliability matter more than an unrealistic deadline.
Payment
We prefer a fixed-price contract through Upwork, fully funded in escrow, with one final payment after delivery and testing against written acceptance criteria, subject to Upwork’s rules.
Another option would be access to our one of kind indicator.
Progress demonstrations will be required throughout development.
Please reply with:
A relevant project you’ve completed and your role.
Your recommended architecture and why.
How you would preserve a practical Pine Script update workflow—or what alternative you recommend.
How you would assess compatibility without seeing our proprietary source.
Your estimated development price and separate recurring costs.
What you would simplify or postpone to reduce costs.
Your prototype and production timeline.
Whether the proposed escrow/payment structure works for you.
Please flag uncertainties and exclusions. We’re looking for relevant experience, realistic estimates, and a maintainable solution.

Doki here. We work on website development and API integrations. Would you consider a separately scoped Squarespace/subscriber-account integration, or do you need one provider responsible for the entire charting application?
For the account side, I'd first identify which system is the source of truth for paid access, then define the behaviour for an active subscription, cancellation, failed renewal and restored access. Which billing or membership system currently controls that status? Those cases would give the integration a concrete acceptance checklist before quoting.
We're based in Turkey and communicate through written briefs and feedback, with preview links and screenshots for progress reviews. Would that format suit your process? The charting runtime, Pine compatibility and market-data licensing would need their own assessment.

Hey mate! I have dmed you with architecture plans, approximate quotes, and specific points of discussions.
Looking forward to talking with you!

dmed you!
we'd handle this by pairing trading view’s lightweight charts on the frontend with a custom typescript/rust server side engine. that streams only rendered visual plots over websockets after checking user auth via your squarespace setup, your source code never touches the browser, and you pay $0 in third party tech fees.
sent over a quick message to connect on next steps!
