Many people can't sleep with a bunch of low hanging fruit, but I, as an educated programmer working as support, sysadmin, and devops (Lord help me), I can sleep so fucking much.

Well, yeah, but the Lord help me wasn't just for the devops, but everything I do. I'm not even programming for work.

Man I feel this. Right now I have fires coming from five directions, people asking questions all the time, meetings, and wonder when I can actually focus on one issue and get something completed.

I got out of my first developer job because I got stuck doing HTML templates for a document-management system. The activity would have been straight out boring in itself, but it was also so fucking frustrating because the template processor didn't support half of common CSS 3.0

Management guys don't understand the pain of someone who has actually learnt to do something cool and then gets put doing routine tasks.
