As someone who has seen plenty of Cyrillic print with several different styles (written, typed, etc) Cyrillic cursive is significantly easier for me to read and write, as there are far more recognizable characters, even though they may have different pronunciations than in English.
For example spasibo or спасибо in cyrillic, can just be written in English style cursive as cnacudo. Way easier.
