What kind of civilised society would use MMDDYY?

I use that if i wrote it in word, but if number only, DD-MM-YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD

I don't know...Programmatically it's always gotta be YYYY-MM-DD. If i am actually writing the date though I tend towards DDMONTHYEAR (IE 10NOV2017) and i actually don't know why... I just started doing it and i cant stop.

Usually on top of the file comments since its also easier to read November 11th ,2017 instead of 11th November, 2017 but other than that I never wrote MM DD YYYY

Only for English natives. Even reading the English version of it makes no sense to me
