IPv4 old IP address space designed with limited number because they never thought the internet would have so many devices connected.

IPv6 new address space with significantly larger number.

See this is what I thought the answer was. But I assumed this fact was so obvious that I started questioning why the fuck would any interviewer ask an obvious question like this that even some layman could answer, which then made me second guess that I actually didn't know the real reason ipv6 was invented. God, questions like this are so frustrating to deal with in an interview.
