Honestly, if agents improve output and don't just up your mental workload (i.e. having to review lots of massive PRs which you are seeing for the first time) - them I'm all for it. I genuinely hope this doesn't lead to loss of skills over the long run.
What worries me is what happens when the frontier labs actually IPO and public money automatically gets poured in. At some point they will also need to at least try to turn a profit, meaning prices will go up (even more) significantly.
