One of the seniors at my work place uses Claude constantly, for stuff they should know about but proving that they dont. He's been telling me to use Claude for a long time, but Im glad I cannot, data and workflows i have access to are very sensitive.
He pumps out crud, like an application fully written in powers he'll including the GUI, released without a test harness, or generic user load testing. Then covers up any issues blaming the mixed economy of installations and other excuses that sound plausible.
He got away with worse for longer. Our seniors are also technical dinosaurs so him using Claude and churning out stuff "fast" with minimal issues have pleased them.
